The Los Angeles Blues scored late and saved all three points at it’s “home away from home” field at Centennial High School in Corona, Ca. Soccer Odyssey Guest instructor, Chuck Chijindu scored the game winner in the 88th minute to cap off a great performance. The Blues return to Cal State Fullerton for the second of two games for the Charlotte Eagles California road swing.

Angigua Barracudas scored in the first half and held on to the one goal lead, despite being brought to 10 men on a red card, to return the favor of the home opener loss suffered in St. Johns Antigua. Although the Blues were the better side, the team squandered too many chances in front of goal and showed more lapses of concentration than just the one goal indicated. L.A. Blues take on Antigua Barracuda in it’s home opener Sunday May 1 at 5pm at Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Stadium. The Blues, lead by Charlie Naimo and Soccer Odyssey’s very own Shayon Jalayer, are set to keep their undefeated record intact. Blues defeated the Barracudas in their home opener two weeks ago by the score of 2-1.

Director and Owner of Soccer Odyssey, Shayon Jalayer, has been hired as Associate Head Coach and Director of Youth Development for the Los Angeles Blues of the newly revamped United Soccer League’s Professional Division coined USL-Pro. The Blues will be playing in the International Division competing with teams from Puerto Rico and Antigua, as well as long time USL franchises such as Richmond Kickers, Charlotte Eagles, and Harrisburg.
